PTW4S3 Pool Tests Application

Included in the PTWS III series is the PTW4S which is a specialised 4-litre version that enables the user to perform either pool tests, or tests for dosage forms that contain high concentrations of active material.

PTW MB6 Automatic Medium Change

The PTW MB6 bath allows a tablet pre-dissolution time in a primary medium. After this time has elapsed, the dissolution tester head is raised, the bath moved and the dissolution time extended in the second medium. This instrument can therefore be configured for Apparatus 1 applications only.

Advantages of the PTW MB6

Two sets of six test positions for Apparatus 1 (Baskets)
Additional vessels for blank medium and standard
Automatic medium exchange on a "rolling" water bath drive
Second buffer always at correct analysis temperature
Can aperate with Agilent Chem-StationTM Software
Sampling monifold built-in far connection too fraction collector PTFC 2
PTWS 300 Our Top Flight Dissolution Tester

This compact instrument has 8 stirred positions in two rows of four vessels each. It hos a LCD screen, central lift pillar for raising the head, a complete instrumant stability monitoring system, integrated OQ and PQ program and air alphanumeric keypad. These are just some of the built-in features.

PTWS 600 ...Ideal for manual dissolution testing

The PTWS 600 has a 6+2 configuratian that is ideal for manual sampling as the tablets test positions are in the front row and the two vessels to the rear of the instrument are reserved for blank and standard. Each stirrer maybe immersed or withdrawn at any time, thanks to the tool chuck grip system

PTWS 1200 ...For high sample throughput

Sample vessel configuration consists of two rows of 6 vessels each, to allow a massive 12-sample throughput with identical operating conditions for each vessel. Additionally, the instrument may be upgraded for automatic operation at anytime, with an EPE sampling system as well as a synchronous drop tablet dispense magazine.

Features of the PTWS 300 Dissolution Tester Family

All instruments and tools conform to both the USP and EP standards
Positional check with error display for each paddle (tool) position
Positional check with error display for the water bath position
Traffic Light status indication system for first line failure indication
Water flow check monitor for water flow through heating system with error display
Auto shutdown of heating system if water flow fails
Water diffuser in water both ensures even dispersion for heated water return
Water bath is decoupled from the pump and heater system to ensure vibration-free operation
Precise electronic coniral of both (tool) stirrer speed and water bath temperature exceeds requirements stipulated in the Pharmacopoeias
Independent tool chuck system available in each working position to allow staggered starts for individual dissolution test vessels. As each tool is electronically monitored for correct position in the chuck, the correct tool depth for each position is always ensured
Stirrer speed is adjustable from 25 to 250 rpm with a typical accuracy of <2%
Bath and medium temperature adjustable between 25 and 450 C with a typical accuracy of <0.2 OC over the whole bath
Easy access to all vessels as the head moves up by approximately 20cm
Attach a pump and a PTFC2 fraction collector with an EPE to achieve off line automation.
The sampling times are controlled by the PTWS 300 series dissolution tester
Upgrade the EPE to include an ITM (Individual Temperature Measurement option) at any time
Progmmmable acoustic signal for manual sampling alert
Standby mode allows power saving for overnight auto shut down and early morning power up
Auto centring feature for each vessel in the water bath cover
Communication port for connection of either a data logger or for automated external bath control for on line systems
Integrated printer output far printing of OQ and run-time protocols
Auto shut down of the flow through heater, electronic monitoring of pump flow
Error display on "traffic light" display
Integrated program for adjustment of stirrer speed, temperature and pH measurement
Large range of tools available: stainless steel paddles, baskets, trans-dermal patches, paddle over disk tools, cream cells and brown (UV protective) USP vessels
Stainless steel instrument housing (head section is also powder coated lacquer treated)
IQ and OQ documentation delivered with each instrument type
